Clube Brasileiro de fans de Asterix (Brazilian Asterix fan club)

Clube Brasileiro de fans de Asterix (Brazilian Asterix fan club) started in Curitba on Sunday the 8th of June 2014. There was an attempt to have the first “informal gathering” in Saint Patrick Pub Curitiba, but it was closed. So we went for BarBaran Ucrânia, which was open according to its facebook page. Got there and it too was closed. Yes, big differences between Ireland and Brazil… So we ended up having the gathering in our home. There was 1 proposal for the assembly and it was passed by consensus by all present; Dunk, Tania and Paddy Mac Inti, and that was that the “honorary president” of the clube is Eva Garvao, who was born today in London.

In Ireland, a small but devoted group set up the Irish Asterix Appreciation Society 10 years ago. Since then there has been much celebrations, drinks, laughter, tears, discussions, quite moments having a read and a cup of tea…
